Wedding Tips (pdf)

Congratulations on your Upcoming Wedding

We at Corporate Limousine Service want your experience with chauffeured transportation to be a memorable one. We want you and your loved ones to experience the style and elegance our industry provides, and we want your day to be perfect in every way. Here are some tips.

  • Be sure that your selected limousine company is duly licensed in the city they are headquartered in, also that they are insured properly.
  • Determine the number of people you are transporting. Limousine companies typically quote the number permitted passengers in their vehicles based on guidelines from the manufacture. Typically, the manufacture quotes a gross weight of the vehicle (FMVSS requirements) and a number of passengers based on 150 pounds per passenger. Unless you have extremely thin men in your party, booking the maximum number of people in the limousine will be extremely uncomfortable. For example, a six passenger limousine is normally stretched 65 to 70 inches. The vehicle is cut in half, stretched 65 to 70 inches, then finished by the manufacture. This is comfortable for four adults. So lesson #1 is do NOT book the limousine to its maximum capacity. Instead, rent a larger one, or rent two of them. Never underestimate how warm and uncomfortable formal clothing is and how much worse its wearer can feel in close quarters.
  • Timing: Weddings do not often go off with military precision. Rent the limousine for an extra hour beyond the expected schedule. Have the limousine arrive 15 – 30 minutes early to allow extra time for the photographs. Receiving lines take 25 minutes for every 100 people. Photographers take more time that you probably figure on. It is extremely stressful on very one if you have left inadequate time for your charter. Limousine operators often have more than one event scheduled in a day. DO NOT assume that you can add time to your charter on your wedding day. Spend a few dollars more so your limousine is guaranteed for all of the hours that you require.
  • Visit the limousine operator you are renting from. Insist on a written contract. A credit card works best. We will put 50% of the charter fee on the credit card when to contract is received. The remaining 50% will be put on during the week before time. A check will work for final payment if it is received 2 weeks before the event.
  • As much as possible, keep alcohol out of the limousine. Drinkers, plus excitement and formal clothing, can be a receipt for a disaster. Consider hiring a van, or sedan to be on hand as a “designated driver”, for those NOT using their best judgment at the wedding reception.
  • We include the gratuity for the chauffer in our price. If they have treated you well ,an extra cash tip would be greatly appreacheted. If the service is great, a thank you card would be nice. If the chauffer has not delivered service, please inform the owner.
  • Breakdowns & Accidents. Limousines are machines. They sometimes get flat tires, belts break, and hoses let go, like any other vehicle. We do our best to keep them in good shape. If we are in an accident a few days before the event, or on the way to your event, we will do our best to get other transportation if this happens. If not, you will get a 100% refund

Prom Tips for Students (pdf)

We at Corporate Limousine want your prom night to be one of the most anticipate nights on the student calendar. From preparing a fancy dress, tuxedo, hair and makeup, to ordering expensive flowers, every one would like to make this a special night. A ride in a limousine to the big event can do just that and more. Transforming prom night into an extraordinarily memorable and enchanting evening.

1. TALK TO YOUR FRIENDS EARLY. The demand for limousines during prom season can be overwhelming when so many others are chartering transportation for the same night. Talk to you friends early and decide who will be in your limo group, so you can book your reservations and get the limousine you want.

2. SHOW UP IN STYLE. A unique chauffeured limousine will definitely set you apart from the rest. Depending on the number of people you will have in the limousine with you, you may want a certain make or model. Choose something that suits your mood.

3. ALLOW LOTS OF TIME TO TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS. You are definitely going to want to take some photos, so plan for everyone to meet up for a pre prom party at one location. Be sure the chauffer has the address, phone number, and directions to the pre prom location. You can even ask the chauffer to position the limousine in a location to be part of the photos.

PS: bring along some CD’s of special interest to the group.

SIT BACK & ENJOY THE RIDE.

Prom Tips for Parents (pdf)

Prom night is one of the most anticipated nights on the student calendar. From the moment you son or daughter find their date, to the moment he or she shows up at the door, every moment needs to count toward making the night both safe and special. Though you may worry about your child staying out late on prom night, hiring a chauffeured limousine for the most important social event of the year can transform Prom night into an extraordinarily memorable, safe, and enchanting evening for your student, and offer the parents the peace of mind to make it through the night.

1. SET SOME GROUND RULES. As the parent you have the right to tell the limousine company what will and what will NOT be tolerated in the limousine. We will keep the privacy screen down all night, so the chauffer can keep an eye on what the students are up to. If any of your rules are broken, the chauffer can turn the limousine around and bring the students home.

2. GIVE THE LIMOUSINE COMPANY A CURFEW. That’s right. The chauffer will abide by any rules you set forth. We will make sure they are picked up, and dropped off at a certain time, and location per your instructions. If there is a problem doing this, the chauffer will call the parents to let them know.

3. CHECK ON A CITY LICENCE, AND INSURANCE. Reputable companies will be licensed in the city they are located in. They will all have the industry standard for insurance of 1.5 M.

All chauffeurs will be licensed with a city license.

4. REMEMBER TO SIT BACK AND RELAX. A reputable company will hire drivers that are properly trained and with proper licensing. These chauffeurs are used to catering around important and excited passengers all day long, so they know how to keep things under control.
